Donations
ECWR is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive no federal, state, or
county funding. We are able to help Florida's wildlife only due to our fundraising efforts and the generous donations and grants from the Gulf Coast
community members and businesses, tourists, and other organizations.
Pet food
We use any brand of wet or dry dog and cat food to provide a good and steady source of protein.
Clothing +
fabrics
Towels, flat sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and other fabrics are always needed.
We cannot accept fitted sheets, human clothing, bath mats with abrasive rubber, pillows, comforters, or furniture cushions (as these can present chewing or suffocation hazards).
Fruits & Veggies
Food donations of vegetables, leafy greens, fruits, bird seed, and peanut butter are always welcome!
The only produce we do not accept are avocados, asparagus, citrus (oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits, etc...no citrus is safe for our animals), exotic fruits or vegetables, onions, or potatoes.
Protein
Eggs, game meat, frozen rodents and more can all be fed to ECWR animals.
Any game meat must be from a legal, native animal to Florida and must be field dressed (and skinned or plucked), uncooked, and unseasoned. It must also be bow-and-arrow harvested. This does not include roadkill.
Fish fillets can be saltwater or freshwater (but must be native and legal in Florida) and must be deboned prior to donation.
Building materials
With our new facility, we still have many projects around the property needing enhancements or touch-ups. Wood, bricks, pavers, garden supplies, and more will help us keep our facility beautiful and safe.
Cleaning agents
With our washer and dryers operating up to 8+ hours a day, we can go through immense loads of laundry detergent and bleach. Dish soap is also always needed.
Forage for Us
The wonderful connectivity in nature allows for the wildlife in our car to benefit from many food sources. You can choose to donate in ways such as:
Foraging for acorns
Freshly bagged grass
Dandelions
Branches with leaves
Pinecones
Beautyberries
Fresh native flowers
Clover foraging
Green pinecones
PLEASE ensure than any natural items or vegetation from your yard are pesticide free, mold free, and of a native species.
Buy a Brick

Purchase a brick and enscribe it with words or certain animals of your choice. Bricks are added to the pathway between the medical facility and the education center.
